TOUR 3Q97 - Events Management Introduction to events management. Topics include event types and contexts; conceptualization, planning and design; marketing and sponsorship; budgeting and financial management; managing human and volunteer resources; staging and logistics; risk management, evaluation and sustainability.
Course Format: Seminar, 3 hours per week. Restrictions: Open to TMGT, TREN, BCMN, COMM, MCMN, FILM (single or combined) and PCUL majors with a minimum of 8.0 overall credits until date specified in Registration guide. Cross-Listing(s): COMM 3Q97 and PCUL 3Q97 Course Notes: May require attending special events on campus during Reading Week, evenings or on weekends. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
