HLSC 4P93 - Therapeutic Antibodies for Human Diseases


Comprehensive overview of development process of specific, safe, and effective antibodies for prophylactic and therapeutic interventions targeting human diseases. Topics may include antibody design, discovery, engineering, determination of mechanism of action, pre-clinical research, clinical trials, regulation, and approval for marketing.

Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week.
Restrictions: Open to BMED and MSCI majors until date specified in Registration guide. After that date open to BIOL, BMED, CHHS, CHLH, CMTY, MSCI, NEUR and PHTH majors.
Prerequisite(s): One of HLSC 2P09 HLSC 3P02  or BIOL 2P97   
Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
