SCIS 1P51 - Science and Society II Introduction to interrelationships between science, technology and society. Topics include the nature of science and technology, genetic engineering, pharmaceutical industry and food additives.
Course Format: Lectures, 3 hours per week; seminar, 1 hour alternate weeks. Course Notes: For non-science majors. Co-ordinated through the Department of Chemistry. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in SCIE 1P51.
