PHYS 1P95 - Physics for Scientists and Engineers I Kinematics, Newton’s laws and forces; momentum and collisions; torque and circular motion; work and energy; oscillations, waves and sound.
Course Format: Lectures, 4 hours per week; lab 2 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Two grade 12 mathematics credits including MCV4U or permission of the instructor. Course Notes: This calculus-based course is designed for students in the physical and engineering sciences and or future teachers at the I/S levels. Students may not concurrently register in PHYS 1P21 or PHYS 1P91 . Materials fee required. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in PHYS 1P21 or PHYS 1P91 .
