HIST 2P97 - History of the Early Roman Empire Roman history from the rise of Augustus (31 BCE) to the death of Marcus Aurelius (180 CE). Emphasis on social and political developments, including imperial expansion and provincial colonization.
Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Cross-Listing(s): CLAS 2P97 and ITAL 2P97 Course Notes: CLAS 2Q96 is recommended. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in HIST 3P06/CLAS 3P06/ITAL 3P06.
