EDBE 8P08 - French as a Second Language II Junior/Intermediate Ontario Junior/Intermediate curriculum in French as a Second Language emphasizing practice and theory, focusing on spontaneous oral interaction in meaningful contexts, action oriented tasks, unit planning through the lens of differentiated instruction, a range of instructional, assessment and evaluation strategies, and creating a positive learning environment to foster the development of language skills.
Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week. Restrictions: Open to students admitted to the Junior/Intermediate program with a minimum of 6.0 overall credits and a declared French teachable and to BA Integrated Studies Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate), and BA IASC (Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate) majors with a minimum of 26.0 overall credits and a declared French teachable. Prerequisite(s): EDBE 8P07 Course Notes: Course fee required. Course credit will not be given without completion of a successful three-week supervised practicum in FSL teaching. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
