CHEM 4P17 - Biophysical Photochemistry Principles of light induced processes such as electron, energy and signal transfer and their role in biological systems. Marcus theory, Dexter and Foerster mechanisms of energy transfer. The optical and magnetic resonance spectroscopy of excited states.
Course Format: Lectures, 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 3P40 , CHEM 3P53 or permission of the instructor Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
