ABTE 8Y39 - Social Studies Primary/Junior
Teaching strategies appropriate to the Ontario curriculum emphasizing knowledge, skills and attitudes for examining and understanding communities, various heritages and citizenship. Key social science concepts; inquiry and communication skills focusing on Canadian identity and democratic values.
Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 2 hours per week.
Restrictions: Open to students admitted to the Primary and Junior (Aboriginal) program.
Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in EDUC 8Y39.
