ABTE 8P30 - Language Primary/Junior Strategies for the development of communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis on the use of language for learning and thinking across the curriculum. The role and purpose of children’s literature in enhancing the learning to read process.
Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 2.5 hours per week. Restrictions: Open to students admitted to the Primary and Junior (Aboriginal) program. Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in EDUC 8P30.
