VISA 2P26 - Photography: Camera and Darkroom Process Fundamentals of 35mm photography: camera, exposure and processing of black and white film and basic darkroom processes. History of photography, critical analysis and photographic theory.
Course Format: Lectures, lab, 5 hour per week. Restrictions: Open to VISA (single or combined) and VISA (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior) majors until date specified in Registration guide. After that date open to VISA (single or combined), VISA (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior), BA Integrated Studies (Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate) majors and VISA minors, until date specified in the registration guide. Course Notes: Materials fee required. Students will need additional materials and equipment, which they must supply. Field trips may be required. Students are expected to pay their own expenses. Students should provide their own 35 mm analog (film) camera with manual and automatic settings. Limited number of loaner cameras are available. Due to space limitations, audits are not permitted in studio classes. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
