KINE 2P44 - Physical Activity and Aging Contribution of human movement and mobility to the well-being and quality of life of aging populations. Review of principles, practice and programs for seniors related to the concept of wellness. Myths, needs and movement potential of aging persons.
Course Format: Lectures, 3 hours per week. Restrictions: Open to BKin, BPhEd, BPhEd (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior), BPhEd (Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate), BSc (Kin) majors and GERO minors until date specified in Registration guide. After that date open to AGEN, BKin, BPhEd, BPhEd (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior), BPhEd (Honours)/BEd (Junior Intermediate) and BSc (Kin) majors and GERO minors until date specified in Registration guide. Students must have a minimum of 3.5 overall credits. Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
