CLAS 3P61 - Gender and Society in Ancient Mediterranean Cultures


Ancient constructions of femininity and masculinity and their relationship to the social, political and legal systems of the Greco-Roman world. Cultural regions vary.

Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): One of CLAS 1P91 , CLAS 1P92 CLAS 2P61 , HIST 1P98, HIST 1P99, WGST 1F90  or permission of the instructor
