ACTG 3P40 - Merger & Acquisition Transactions
Examination of merger and acquisition transactions (“M&A”) and the overall M&A deal process. Exploration of different types of M&A transactions, how they are structured, what is involved in the deal process, the role of management and the board of directors, and the impact of government regulations on M&A transactions.
Course Format: Lectures, discussion, 3 hours per week. Restrictions: Open to BAcc students. Prerequisite(s): ACTG 2P40 Course Notes: The course is taught from a practitioner’s perspective and is best suited for students who are interested in and aspiring to excel in investment banking, corporate finance, corporate development, M&A advisory/consulting and/or private equity or any other stakeholder going through a transaction process.
