HAVC 2P95 - Critical Approaches to the History of Art and Visual Culture Introduction to methods, practices, theories, and tools for art historical and visual culture studies. Explorations and development of key skills in areas such as research, writing, close reading, information literacy, critical thinking, and analysis.
Course Format: Lecture, seminar, 3 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): HAVC 1Q98 (VISA) and HAVC 1Q99 (VISA), or permission of the Chair. Course Notes: Field trips may be required. Students are expected to pay their own expenses. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term. Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in VISA 2P95.
