HAVC 2P86 - The History of Colour

Critical histories of colour in art and visual culture. Explorations of such thematic topics as cultural symbolism of colour, technologies of colour, science of colour perception.

Course Format: Lecture, seminar, 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): HAVC 1Q98 (VISA) and HAVC 1Q99 (VISA), or permission of the Chair.
Course Notes: Field trips may be required. Students are expected to pay their own expenses. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in VISA 2P86.
