HIST 1P96 - Domination and Defiance: Modern Global History Major political, social, economic, and cultural trends in modern global history. Topics include imperialism, decolonization and neocolonialism, world wars and genocide, totalitarian ideologies, the Cold War, creation of welfare states, economic globalization, struggle for individual and group rights, youth culture, and international solutions to global challenges.
Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
