DART 2P51 - Embodying Text


Exploration of script-based performance through the embodiment of monologue and scene studies in contemporary realism. Techniques for approaching a script, a role, creating character, impulse work, vocal and physical awareness.

Course Format: Lab, 5 hours per week.
Restrictions: Open to DART (single or combined) and DART (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior) majors until date specified in the Registration Guide. After that date, open to DART (single or combined) and DART (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior) majors, DART Minors, BA Educational Studies (Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate), BA Integrated Studies (Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate) and BA Interactive Arts & Science (Honours)/BEd (Junior/Intermediate) until date specified in Registration guide.
Prerequisite(s): DART 1F50 , or DART 1P99.
Course Notes: Materials fee and field trip fee may be required. This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in DART 2F50.
