MUSI 1P60 - Materials of Music I

Introduction to music-theoretical concepts: diatonic harmony, counterpoint and analysis.

Course Format: Lectures, 3 hours per week.
Restrictions: Permission of the instructor.
Prerequisite(s): MUSI 1P04 or 1Y04, or successful completion of Departmental placement evaluation in music theory, or a minimum of Royal Conservatory Grade 7 theory.
Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery. The method of delivery will be listed on the academic timetable, in the applicable term.
Exclusions: Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in MUSI 1F90 or MUSI 1P20.
