CLAS 1P97 - Myths of the Heroic Age

Traditional story types: folktale, legend. Concept of a Heroic Age, centres and cycles of legend, pseudo-history. Response to Greek and Roman myths through the ages.

Course Format: Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week.
